Benefits of Membership at RBSA

 

  • Free and easy access to all of Rehoboth Bay… one of the finest confined bodies of water on the East Coast for small boat sailing.
  • Boat Storage – On site sailboat storage is available to all members 365 day a year.
  • Reduced rates on boat rentals, sailing clinics, junior sailing school, and private lessons
    (Note: Members holding a Regular Membership or higher may use rental craft without charge, when available, at the discretion of the Club Manager or Assistant Manager. Generally, this member benefit is only available during slow rental periods and only for boats that have not been rented or reserved for rental later in the day.)
  • Use of all facilities:
    • Sheltered marina equipped with wet slips as well as 2 one-ton boat hoists for launching or returning your sailboat to its trailer o Beach area for in-season storage and launching of shallow  draft boats (e.g. Hobie Cats, Sunfish, Lasers, etc.) Best for boats drawing 24 inches or less.
    • Shower and bathrooms – Available for both men and women to clean-up after a day on the water
    • Trailer tugs – Electric “golf carts” with trailer couplings fore and aft are available to shuttle your boat and trailer to and from the launch site
    • Running fresh water (boat washing) – Numerous hose bibs are located throughout the property.
    • Storage locker rental
    • 110V Electric power available for working on your boat – Enough said!
  • Club House Usage – Subject to availability, the clubhouse may be rented for those special events.

    • RBSA members can dine in RBCC:
      • Monday Lunch (11:30am – 3:00pm)
      • Wednesday Lunch (11:30am -3:30pm) / Wednesday Dinner (5:30pm – 8:30pm)
      • Thursday Lunch (11:30am – 3:30pm)

      • Maximum Members visiting for lunch and dinner is 16 per day.
      • All the members from RBSA must bring their membership card when they visit RBCC. All RBSA members must follow RBCC guest policies and guidelines.
      • RBSA members can pay with a credit card. Without a reservation RBSA members are not going to be allowed on RBCC property.

Additional Notes:

1. Membership fee includes up to 4 family members (i.e. spouse, significant other, and dependent children under the age of 21). Additional dependents are $5.00 per person with a maximum of eight (8) people per membership; Junior Seasonal and Young Adult memberships are limited to the member only.
2. First year dues waived for Regular membership.
3. Junior Seasonal for candidates under the age of 22 prior to the beginning of the season (Memorial Day).
4. Young Adult (Age 22-30) available on a limited basis; requires 32 hours of volunteer service to RBSA in exchange for reduced membership fee.
5. Upgrades to sustaining memberships are restricted to existing regular members only and are subject to availability/Board approval. Life memberships are no longer available.

6.  Membership fees must be paid net 30.  Any amount not paid in full by net 60 will incur fees of $50 per month.  Any membership not paid by May 30 will be cancelled.

7.  Life memberships are no longer offered to any individuals other than surviving spouses of current life members.
